Freelance, Reimagined
Here at Patriot Freelance, we believe that freelance freedom is the American Dream. We’re a community of American freelancers who are dedicated to serving our clients and using our entrepreneurial talents to build a new kind of economy, one where hard work is valued and rewarded.
We believe that the ability to freelance allows us as freelancers to live our own American Dream, one where we are unencumbered by corporate bureaucracy and busywork and one where our only goal is providing for the needs of our clients.
If you are an American based freelancer and you feel the same, we encourage you to join our freelance community forum, where you can connect with potential clients and other freelancers.
If you are a client who is seeking freelance work, our freelancers are American based and highly motivated to provide quality services in a wide variety of disciplines, including website design and development, graphic design, copywriting, audio and visual editing and production and more. We encourage you to join our community forum where you can interact with our freelancers directly.
We’re starting small but dreaming big
Today, Patriot Freelance is simply a community forum, but that’s not all that we hope to be. It is our goal to eventually build out a large freelance website where freelancers can create their own freelancer profile and show off their skills to potential clients.
On this new website, clients would be able to search freelancers by skills, price and more, as well as post jobs for freelancers to bid on.
Unlike other freelance websites that take a cut of the revenue, Patriot Freelance believes in letting freelancers keep what they earn. Patriot Freelance would make this website available to clients and freelancers absolutely free. Transactions would be made between clients and freelancers on a peer-to-peer basis, meaning that Patriot Freelance never touches a cent of the money.
Under this system, Patriot Freelance would only make money by offering premium add-on services, such as:
Address Verification
We would offer a service that verifies freelancers are actually based in the US. For a one time fee, we would verify the address of a freelancer by mailing a physical postcard to the freelancer’s stated address. This would verify that a freelancer is located within the United States and has a real, verifiable address.
Early Access
We would allow premium freelance members early access to posted jobs. For a small monthly fee, freelancers could gain access to the latest jobs a few hours before regular members. This would give premium freelancers a small advantage, but not so much of an advantage that non-paying freelancers cannot also compete.
Enhanced Profiles
Premium freelancers would be given an enhanced profile, allowing them to show off more of their work and better showcase their skills to prospective clients.
A Work In Progress
Right now, everything you have just read is only in the planning stages. Our goal is to make a site that connects clients and freelancers, but in order to do this the site also has to be profitable. Our goal is to make the site profitable without gouging clients or freelancers.
If you have thoughts on how we can make a better freelance website, or you want to get involved, please join our community and let us know your thoughts!
