Patriot Freelance Terms of Service

Welcome to Patriot Freelance! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Patriot Freelance website (the "Site"), operated by Patriot Freelance ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Site

Patriot Freelance is a platform that connects freelancers with clients for the purpose of offering and completing freelance services. You may use the Site to create profiles, post projects, offer services, or engage in related activities in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Site complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

In order to use this site, you must be a citizen of the United States of America. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are a citizen of the United States.

3. Account Responsibility

To access certain features of the Site, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (e.g., username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Right to Delete or Disable Access

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to delete, modify, or disable access to any profile, project, user account, or content on the Site at any time, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice or liability to you or any third party.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Site, such as freelancer profiles, project descriptions, or service offerings. By submitting content, you grant Patriot Freelance a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Site. You represent and warrant that your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

6. Intellectual Property

All content and materials on the Site, excluding user-generated content (e.g., the Site’s design, logo, and proprietary content), are the property of Patriot Freelance and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of such content without our prior written consent.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Post unlawful, harmful, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content;
• Engage in spamming, phishing, or other abusive behavior;
• Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to harm the Site or its users;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or other users’ accounts;
• Infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Site, including your account, at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will immediately cease. If you delete your account, all associated content (e.g., profiles, projects, or submissions) will also be deleted, except where retention is required by law.

9. No Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

By using the Site, you agree that Patriot Freelance, its affiliates, officers, employees, or agents will not be liable for any punitive, special, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Patriot Freelance, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site must be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kane County, Illinois. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts for such disputes.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time at our discretion. The updated Terms will be effective as of the date posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
